"No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law."
This amendment is saying people should have privacy in their own homes. Again the content of the book reflects well on the design of the book. Having the suitcase protecting the content is a very clever way of showing privacy and also the book hidden in the file is also reflecting on this.
"Amendment VIII"
"Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted."
The idea of having the book being presented as a convict in jail is very tactile and engaging. With jail bars designed to protect the book, it has been put in a situation which suits the design. Also the choice of having the black and white strips on the cover of the book is stereotyping the image of a 'robber' which works well and also the attention to detail on the jail bars look very effective.
