INSECT

I was really intrigued by this image! Its interesting how the designer has chosen a lot of different things to make this image for example; the use of very solid techinical objects with the dials and snakes for a living thing. but maybe that explains the images title "Mish Mash Club". I also think its very interesting the way all these differents images have been built up to make an image of a face!

STÉPHANE TARTELIN

I saw a real strong connection between this graphic illustration and Julie Verhoevens image for topshop. You can see the freehand drawings and the use of a bold colour to make the whole image stand out! I like this style of work.

The pointing finger in this image caught my eye! I like the way the message had been created in a very clever way and it definately 'makes you look!' A very simple image which i liked, you can tell each image has been individually created and places in a way which it jumps off the pages at you. I also think having little text draws more attention to the eye from far, than what a really complicated illustrative one would do!

This image was very interesting to look at espeically when i looked at the image for a long time. It is showing the developing the developing economy of Mexico. The images incorporated in the illustration are showing things which are based in this village the colours are very warm and welcoming and i think they work really well together. A really interesting image.

I love Julie Verhoeven's work as it is very unique. Her choice of using mixed media and exciting colours adds to the effect. This particualr image, accompanied by others, was done for 'Topshop'. I like the way the yellow line of what seems to look like paint creates a scarf effect on the figure and also how all the colours work well together. This design is very graphically influeneced as the range between the light and heavy lines make this image look very effective!
